BNS Section 246 — Dishonestly making false claim in Court

जो कोई, कपटपूर्वक या बेईमानी से या किसी व्यक्ति को क्षति या क्षोभ कारित करने के आशय से न्यायालय में कोई ऐसा दावा करता है, जिसका मिथ्या होना वह जानता हो, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दो वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दंडित किया जाएगा, और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा ।

Whoever fraudulently or dishonestly, or with intent to injure or annoy any person, makes in a Court any claim which he knows to be false, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, and shall also be liable to fine.
