COI Article 178 — The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly
अनुच्छेद 178 — विधान सभा का अध्यक्ष और उपाध्यक्ष

प्रत्येक राज्य की विधान सभा, यथाशक्य शीघ्र, अपने दो सदस्यों को अपना अध्यक्ष और उपाध्यक्ष चनेगी और जब-जब अध्यक्ष या उपाध्यक्ष का पद रिक्त होता है तब-तब विधान सभा किसी अन्य सदस्य को. यथास्थिति, अध्यक्ष या उपाध्यक्ष चुनेगी ।

Every Legislative Assembly of a State shall, as soon as may be, choose two members of the Assembly to be respectively Speaker and Deputy Speaker thereof and, so often as the office of Speaker or Deputy Speaker becomes vacant, the Assembly shall choose another member to be Speaker or Deputy Speaker, as the case may be.
