COI Article 49 — Protection of monuments and places and objects of national importance
अनुच्छेद 49 — राष्ट्रीय महत्व के संस्मारकों, स्थानों और वस्तुओं का संरक्षण

'[संसद् द्वारा बनाई गई विधि द्वारा या उसके अधीन] राष्ट्रीय महत्व वाले [घोषित किए गए] कलात्मक या ऐतिहासिक अभिरुचि वाले प्रत्येक संस्मारक या स्थान या वस्त का, यथास्थिति, लंठन, विरूपण, विनाश, अपसारण, व्ययन या निर्यात से संरक्षण करना राज्य की बाध्यता होगी ।
Official text
It shall be the obligation of the State to protect every monument or place or object of artistic or historic interest, 1[declared by or under law made by Parliament] to be of national importance, from spoliation, disfigurement, destruction, removal, disposal or export, as the case may be.
