BNS Section 305 = IPC 380. Theft in a dwelling house, or means of transportation or place of worship, etc
Full text (English)
(a) in any building, tent or vessel used as a human dwelling or used for the custody of property; or
(b) of any means of transport used for the transport of goods or passengers; or
(c) of any article or goods from any means of transport used for the transport of goods or passengers; or
(d) of idol or icon in any place of worship; or
(e) of any property of the Government or of a local authority, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
पूरा पाठ (हिंदी)
(क) ऐसे किसी भवन, तम्बू या जलयान में चोरी करता है, जो मानव निवास के रूप में, या संपत्ति की अभिरक्षा के लिए उपयोग में आता है ; या
(ख) ऐसे किसी यातायात के साधन में चोरी करता है, जो माल या यात्रियों के यातायात के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है ; या
(ग) ऐसे किसी यातायात के साधन से किसी वस्तु या माल की चोरी करता है, जो मात्र या यात्रियों के यातायात के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है ; या
(घ) किसी पूजा स्थल की मूर्ति या प्रतीक की चोरी करता है ;या (ड) सरकार या किसी स्थानीय प्राधिकरण की किसी संपत्ति की चोरी करता है, वह दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि सात वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी,
दण्डित किया जाएगा, और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा ।
