Full text (English)
(1) Subject to the control of the State Government, the District Magistrate may, from time to time, define the local limits of the areas within which the Executive Magistrates may exercise all or any of the powers with which they may be invested under this Sanhita.
(2) Except as otherwise provided by such definition, the jurisdiction and powers of every such Magistrate shall extend throughout the district.

पूरा पाठ (हिंदी)
(1) राज्य सरकार के नियंत्रण के अधीन रहते हुए जिला मजिस्ट्रेट, समय-समय पर, उन क्षेत्रों की स्थानीय सीमाएं परिनिश्चित कर सकेगा जिनके भीतर कार्यपालक मजिस्ट्रेट उन सभी शक्तियों का या उनमें से किन्हीं का प्रयोग कर सकेंगे, जो इस संहिता के अधीन उनमें विनिहित की जाएं ।
(2) ऐसे परिनिश्चय द्वारा, जैसा उपबंधित है उसके सिवाय, प्रत्येक ऐसे मजिस्ट्रेट की अधिकारिता और शक्तियों का विस्तार जिले में सर्वत्र होगा ।
