Full text (English)
(1) All offences under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 shall be investigated, inquired into, tried, and otherwise dealt with according to the provisions hereinafter contained.
(2) All offences under any other law shall be investigated, inquired into, tried, and otherwise dealt with according to the same provisions, but subject to any enactment for the time being in force regulating the manner or place of investigating, inquiring into, trying or otherwise dealing with such offences.

पूरा पाठ (हिंदी)
(1) भारतीय न्याय संहिता, 2023 के अधीन सभी अपराधों का अन्वेषण, जांच, विचारण और उनके संबंध में अन्य कार्यवाही, इसमें इसके पश्चात् अन्तर्विष्ट उपबंधों के अनुसार की जाएगी ।
(2) किसी अन्य विधि के अधीन सभी अपराधों का अन्वेषण, जांच, विचारण और उनके संबंध में अन्य कार्यवाही इन्हीं उपबंधों के अनुसार किंतु ऐसे अपराधों के अन्वेषण, जांच, विचारण या अन्य कार्यवाही की रीति या स्थान का विनियमन करने वाली तत्समय प्रवृत्त किसी अधिनियमिति के अधीन रहते हुए, की जाएगी ।
