BNSS Section 285 — Procedure for summary trials
(1) In trials under this Chapter, the procedure specified in this Sanhita for the trial of summons-case shall be followed except as hereinafter mentioned. (2) No sentence of imprisonment for a term exceeding three months shall be passed in the case of any conviction under this Chapter.
(1) इस अध्याय के अधीन विचारणों में इसके पश्चात् इसमें जैसा वर्णित है उसके सिवाय, इस संहिता में समन-मामलों के विचारण के लिए विनिर्दिष्ट प्रक्रिया का अनुसरण किया जाएगा । (2) तीन मास से अधिक की अवधि के लिए कारावास का कोई दंडादेश इस अध्याय के अधीन किसी दोषसिद्धि के मामले में न दिया जाएगा ।
