BNSS Section 298 — Savings
The provisions of this Chapter shall have effect notwithstanding anything inconsistent therewith contained in any other provisions of this Sanhita and nothing in such other provisions shall be construed to constrain the meaning of any provision of this Chapter. Explanation.—For the purposes of this Chapter, the expression "Public Prosecutor" has the meaning assigned to it under clause (v) of section 2 and includes an Assistant Public Prosecutor appointed under section 19.
इस अध्याय के उपबंध इस संहिता के किन्हीं अन्य उपबंधों में अन्तर्विष्ट उनसे असंगत किसी बात के होते हुए भी प्रभावी होंगे और ऐसे अन्य उपबंधों में किसी बात का यह अर्थ नहीं लगाया जाएगा कि वह इस अध्याय के किसी उपबंध के अर्थ को सीमित करती है । स्पष्टीकरण--इस अध्याय के प्रयोजनों के लिए, “लोक अभियोजक"” पद का वही अर्थ होगा जो धारा 2 के खंड (फ) के अधीन उसका है और इसमें धारा 9 के अधीन नियुक्त सहायक लोक अभियोजक सम्मिलित है ।
