BNSS Section 301 — Definitions
In this Chapter,— (a) “detained” includes detained under any law providing for preventive detention; (b) “prison” includes,— (i) any place which has been declared by the State Government, by general or special order, to be a subsidiary jail; (ii) any reformatory, Borstal institution or other institution of a like nature.
इस अध्याय में,-- (क) “निरुद्ध” के अन्तर्गत निवारक निरोध के लिए उपबंध करने वाली किसी विधि के अधीन निर्दूध भी है ; (ख) “कारागार” के अन्तर्गत निम्नलिखित भी हैं,-- (1) कोई ऐसा स्थान जिसे राज्य सरकार ने, साधारण या विशेष आदेश द्वारा, अतिरिक्त जेल घोषित किया है ; (0) कोई सुधारालय, बोर्स्टल-संस्था या इसी प्रकार की अन्य संस्था ।
