BNS Section 147 — Waging, or attempting to wage war, or abetting waging of war, against Government of India

Whoever wages war against the Government of India, or attempts to wage such war, or abets the waging of such war, shall be punished with death, or imprisonment for life and shall also be liable to fine. Illustration. A joins an insurrection against the Government of India. A has committed the offence defined in this section.
जो कोई, भारत सरकार के विरुद्ध युद्ध करता है, या ऐसा युद्ध करने का प्रयत्न करता है या ऐसा युद्ध करने का दुष्प्ररण करता है, वह मृत्यु या आजीवन कारावास से दंडित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा । क भारत सरकार के विरुद्ध विद्रोह में सम्मिलित होता है । क ने इस धारा में परिभाषित अपराध किया है ।

BNS Section 148 — Conspiracy to commit offences punishable by section 147

Whoever within or without and beyond India conspires to commit any of the offences punishable by section 147, or conspires to overawe, by means of criminal force or the show of criminal force, the Central Government or any State Government, shall be punished with imprisonment for life, or with imprisonment of either description which may extend to ten years, and shall also be liable to fine. Explanation.—To constitute a conspiracy under this section, it is not necessary that any act or illegal omission shall take place in pursuance thereof.
जो कोई, धारा 47 द्वारा दंडनीय अपराधों में से कोई अपराध करने के लिए भारत के भीतर या बाहर षड़यंत्र करता है या केंद्रीय सरकार को या किसी राज्य की सरकार को. आपराधिक बल द्वारा या आपराधिक बल के प्रदर्शन द्वारा आतंकित करने का षड़यंत्र करता है, वह आजीवन कारावास से, या दोनों में से किसी भांति के कारावास से, जिसकी अवधि दस वर्ष तक की हो सकेगी, दंडित किया जाएगा और जुर्माने का भी दायी होगा स्पष्टीकरण-इस धारा के अधीन षड़यंत्र गठित होने के लिए यह आवश्यक नहीं है कि उसके अनुसरण में कोई कार्य या अवैध लोप गठित हुआ हो ।
