Full text (English)
(1) When any officer in charge of a police station or any police officer making an investigation under Chapter XIII requires any officer subordinate to him to arrest without a warrant (otherwise than in his presence) any person who may lawfully be arrested without a warrant, he shall deliver to the officer required to make the arrest an order in writing, specifying the person to be arrested and the offence or other cause for which the arrest is to be made and the officer so required shall, before making the arrest, notify to the person to be arrested the substance of the order and, if so required by such person, shall show him the order.
(2) Nothing in sub-section (1) shall affect the power of a police officer to arrest a person under section 35.

(1) जब अध्याय 33 के अधीन अन्वेषण करता हुआ कोई पुलिस थाने का भारसाधक अधिकारी, या कोई पुलिस अधिकारी, अपने अधीनस्थ किसी अधिकारी से किसी ऐसे व्यक्ति को जो वारंट के बिना विधिपूर्वक गिरफ्तार किया जा सकता है, वारंट के बिना (अपनी उपस्थिति से, अन्यथा) गिरफ्तार करने की अपेक्षा करता है, तब वह उस व्यक्ति का, जिसे गिरफ्तार किया जाना है और उस अपराध का या अन्य कारण का, जिसके लिए गिरफ्तारी की जानी है, विनिर्देश करते हुए लिखित आदेश उस अधिकारी को परिदत्त करेगा जिससे यह अपेक्षा है कि वह गिरफ्तारी करे और इस प्रकार अपेक्षित अधिकारी उस व्यक्ति को, जिसे गिरफ्तार करना है, उस आदेश का सार गिरफ्तारी करने के पूर्व सूचित करेगा और यदि वह व्यक्ति अपेक्षा करे तो उसे वह आदेश दिखा देगा ।
(2) उपधारा (1) की कोई बात किसी पुलिस अधिकारी की धारा 35 के अधीन किसी व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार करने की शक्ति पर प्रभाव नहीं डालेगी ।
